Teez-Her Skinny Tank Review and Giveaway!

I've been talking a lot about working out, getting in shape, and even started a running blog. Through all this hard work I AM seeing results. I've lost pretty much all my baby weight, but now my issue is toning up. Like most women with babies, my tummy is my problem area. When I got the opportunity to review The Skinny Tank by Teez-her I was super stoked! I got this tank in white. The packaging was adorable. It came in a hot pink gift bag with chocolate covered popcorn, a chocolate shaped high heel shoe, and a tube of lipstick! So cute and fun!

This tank top can be worn as a layering piece or by itself with bra-friendly straps and tummy-slimming torso. Its a cotton baby jersey shell, straps, bra area, and bottom with a nylon spandex torso. This slimming tank top has a midsection panel that smooths and shapes your mid-section. Its pretty much the best tank ever... I'm obsessed and would love it in every color! (And it comes in so many colors to choose from.) Its definitely a must have basic in your wardrobe. Every girl should seriously have this tank top. Not only is it cute, but its super comfy. It doesn't ride up or move at all.

I was going to take before and after pictures because the results were amazing... but I chickened out. Even with all my running, I'm still not ready to show a belly shot. HEHE

So the AWESOME part... Teez-her is giving away two... yeah not one, but two Skinny Tanks! Wow. I'm so excited for these 2 lucky winners! This is so generous of the people at Teez-Her. All you have to do is visit Teez-Her and tell me another product you like. This is a must to be eligible for the contest. Make sure to leave an email address with the first comment.

"Easy's" B-day Part 1- T-Ball

Birthdays are a big deal around here. My baby boy is turning 2 on Wednesday, and I'm loving his age right now. It does makes me sad how fast he's growing. We started a tradition last year that on "Easy's" actual birthday the hubs takes the day off work, and just him and I take him somewhere special. Last year we took him to the San Diego Zoo. This Wednesday we're taking him to Sea world for the first time. He's gonna love it. His birthday party is this weekend.... so needless to say we make it a week event. This last year really flew by, and with "Easy" being a only child (so far) we tend to spoil him. We're slowly giving "Easy" his b-day presents through out the week so he can truly enjoy them and appreciate them. Yesterday we gave him his first T-ball set. Joel was very excited about the whole thing, and from the looks of it we have a lil' baseball player on our hands and Joel couldn't be happier. The boy makes his daddy proud.

Check out his baseball stance!

Tired and chillin' after all that baseball...

Aloha Friday

"In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response." To participate just post your own question on your blog, head over to An Island Life, and fill out her linky. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

This has been a long week. I'm so glad that we are actually home for this long Memorial weekend! We're never home on the weekends. I purposely planned and marked our calendar to go no where for these 3 days. We live in the most beautiful area. And the summer times here are the best. This weekend we have our sister and brother-in-law staying with us. The only thing we have on our agenda is some beach time, bbqing, church, go for some runs, and relaxation.

My question:

What are your Memorial Weekend plans? Some sunshine I hope...

Boogie Wipes Review and Giveaway!

My little guy has been battling his two year molars for quite awhile now. They're taking forever. So off and on he's been a snotty mess. Poor "Easy's" nose gets raw and sore from me wiping it so much. He hates when the tissue or baby wipe comes out to clean him up. He would actually go running. So when I had the chance to review the Boogie Wipes I was eager to give them a try. They sent me the three scents they have to offer: grape, fresh, and menthol.

"Boogie Wipes are the latest innovation in a moist wipe product for busy moms, dads & kids. With added saline, they offer quick, gentle, effective relief of stuck on Boogies (mucus) caused by the common cold & allergies." Boogie Wipes were created by two moms who knew that there had to be a better, less painful way to wipe their kids' noses.

When I tried them out "Easy" I noticed that the Boogie Wipes were indeed gentle and got rid of the dry snot very easily and effectively. They also smell wonderful! "Easy" likes the grape scent and even said..."nummy nummy!" haha. My favorite scent is the Menthol, and I plan to use these when I'm sick. They're very soothing.

This is how Boogie Wipes are different than regular baby wipes:
  • Made with Natural Saline to Dissolve Mucus
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Alcohol Free
  • Moisturize with Vitamin E, Aloe and Chamomile
  • Lightly Scented
  • Gentle Enough for All Ages
  • Phthalate & Paraben Free
These are A MUST to have around and make wiping snotty noses so much easier! No more nose suckers, saline spray, and wiping his sore nose a few times to get rid of the crust.

The awesome part... Boogie Wipes is giving one lucky person 3 packs of 30-count wipes (fresh, grape, and menthol.) All you have to do is visit Boogie Wipes and tell me something about the company or product that I didn't mention here. Make sure to leave an email address with the first comment.

A whole bunch of NEW going on!

In case you haven't noticed... I got a new design! Whoo-hoo! It was needed so badly. I'm just not that blog savvy. I can get around and figure out basics, but I wanted a personalized blog design that truly reflected who I am and what I'm about. Lex at Indelible Creations was right on! She was a pleasure to work with and so knowledgeable! You rock girl! It was a process because I'm super picky. She was patient with me and included me in every decision made. We changed things around ALOT and now I totally love it! Please check out her services. I highly recommend her and will be using her again to help me with my running blog...

Yeah that's right! I started a running blog called Momo-Runner! I'm excited about this project! I've been thinking about it for awhile now and its still a work in progress. Us mommies need to stick together and motivate each other. The first blog post is up and it describes what this blog is going to be about and what to expect in more detail. Please check it and let me know your thoughts.

UV Skinz Reversible Bucket Hat Review and Giveaway!

May is skin cancer awareness month. What better way to increase awareness then by promoting UV protected clothing! In my opinion UV Skinz has the best products out there. I recently did a review/giveaway for their Baby UV Skinz Swim Shirt. Please check that out. There's some great background information on how UV Skins got started, what their mission statement is, and it show cases another great UV Skinz product!

In honor of skin cancer awareness we will be featuring TWO more UV Skinz products! I'm always eager to review their products, so this is exciting! This week I will be featuring the hat and watch out for the toddler board shorts next week. "Easy's" a protected little boy from head to toe... and pretty stinkin' cute in his ensemble.

Its that time of the year where we are at the beach a few times a week. Living near the coast in Southern Cali the sun gets gnarly. "Easy's" a very active two-year old with extremely sensitive and fair skin. He is also a little toe-head so I'm constantly worried about his head getting burnt. I hate rubbing sunscreen in his hair. It never seems to offer full protection and its just gross. This hat is awesome! I love how its nice and big. It completely protects his face, neck, and ears from getting sun burnt. Its SPF 50+, light weight, dries easily, and is reversible. I picked the navy two-color bucket hat that matches his swim shirt and board shorts. I love how all the different pieces they have are interchangeable and match!
So for the awesome part...UV Skinz is giving away one Reversible Bucket Hat of your choice! All you have to do is click that link and pick a hat, and then leave a comment on this post telling me which one you would choose. Make sure you leave your email address with your first comment.

W/W Soccer!

We had absolutely no plans today. No play groups, no errands to run... well I always have cleaning to do. That's never ending. I felt kind of lost without a schedule. With "Easy" being a little athlete already, I decided to run him to exhaustion. He loves soccer and especially baseball! He seriously already knows how to play both. He makes his daddy proud. He will already sit down and watch a baseball game with him. He gets very excited and yells at the T.V. I found out that he can start T-ball next year. Can't wait! Anyways, I loaded the boy up in the jogger and ran to the soccer field. Let him run to his hearts content. And then ran home. Success. He was begging to go to bed. Hehe

Totally Talented Tuesday. Bubbles!

Mr. Independent demands he blows his own bubbles now. Kind of sad really. Not that long ago he would beg for ME to blow bubbles and they'd make him so happy. Now... "Nooo... Mommy!" "I have it!" "Mine bubbles."  *Tear*

Discovery Toys HAMMER AWAY Toy: REVIEW and GIVEAWAY!

I'm always searching for new toys for "Easy" that keeps his interest AND are educational. When I (well..."Easy") got the chance to review a toy from Discovery Toys I was excited because I knew their toys encouraged hands on learning. We chose the HAMMER AWAY! toy and boy am I glad we did! "Easy" LOVES it!

The HAMMER AWAY! Toy is geared for toddlers 19 months and older. This is the age where they start playing much more rambunctiously. They explain that this age group "will likely enjoy carrying objects, pounding things, pushing, pulling, opening, and closing everything they can." This is so true. "Easy" being very boy loves to pound and try to destroy everything. So when I pulled this boat out of the box for him to pound away on he was very excited!
The first thing I immediately noticed about this toy is the quality. It is durable plastic and very vibrant, fun colors. After all, QUALITY IS THEIR MOTTO! My sister-in-law shared with me that her first boy got the same HAMMER AWAY! toy when he was a toddler...10 years ago! She said that all 4 of her kids have played with it and that it hasnt chipped, cracked, or even faded! She even mentioned that she's still able to buy replacement balls for it. WOW.

Here are the Child Development Benefits of the HAMMER AWAY!
  • Pounding provides an excellent opportunity for whole body development.
  • Aiming for the balls when pounding and catching them as they roll down the ramp requires lots of coordination of hands and eyes.
  • Matching colored balls to rings helps teach color and basic concepts such as "same" and "different." This is a good language development activity. (I was impressed that "Easy" matched the colors up right away!)
  • Pounding produces the rolling action- which is a cause-and-effect relationship. Learning about cause and effect is the gateway to problem-solving.
My boy got this toy a week ago and he plays with it EVERYDAY! I'm very impressed with how this toy engages him and excites him. I can't wait to try out other products Discovery Toys have to offer.

The most awesome part... they're giving away one HAMMER AWAY! toy to a lucky reader!!! All you have to do is go to this Discovery Toys website, take a look around, and leave a comment on this post telling me another product that you like. Please include an email address on the first comment to contact you.

Phew... that's a lot of extra eligible entries! Make sure you leave separate comments for each telling me you did so. Also, remember if you are already follow or have my button that counts and be sure to leave a comment for that as well. The contest ends Friday May, 15th. The winner will be chosen randomly. W/W Trail Walk and a Shout out!

"Easy" and I went on a trail walk to explore this morning. He's growing and changing so much. We were having full on conversations about the funniest things. And when I look back at these pictures it makes me sad how much of a little boy he is and no longer my little baby. Also got to say... I LOVE HIS OUTFIT! I recently participated in a twitter party hosted by Bookieboo: a fitness hangout for moms. Through this I was chosen to win a outfit for my little guy from Childhood Clothing. When I checked out her Etsy shop to pick my outfit I was so excited! A-DOR-ABLE stuff! Seriously check it out! I told her "Easy" needs some dressier outfits so she sent her new button up and shorts set. It is so stylish! I was impressed with the quality of it as well. Giving her a big shout out! Thanks girl! He's stinkin cute in it!
