Yummy Toddler Smoothie!
So Ethan's been teething real bad...AGAIN! Poor guy, can't catch a break. Its his canines now, which I hear can be the worst! Good thing it's his last set of teeth until his 2 year old molars. He's handling the pain pretty well (he's such a trooper), but I can't get much food in him. I know he's hungry and all he wants is milk or as he calls it "gilk!" He's borderline obsessed? I was looking through "The Baby Book" by Doctor Sears. I love this family of doctors! They pretty much match perfectly with a lot of my attachment parenting style. They're big on breastfeeding (if you can), later scheduled vaccines, healthy eating, no crying it out...etc. Anyways, I was looking through it once again, and came across an AWESOME smoothie recipe! Its perfectly balanced loaded with great nutrients! It's a sneaky and healthy way to get food in Ethan that he would otherwise shun. Ha! Been there tried that! Remember the tofu incident? He HATED it! Don't blame him really. I don't like it either. This even has tofu in it and you can't even tell. I gave it to him and he loved it! This was totally a "ah ha! I am a good mom moment!" I was very proud of myself. Joel and I tried it and seriously it was pretty good. Okay, enough rambling here is the recipe:

I may have to try that one; Tom-Tom would love it!
Wow - actually looks appealing. How bout we get the ingredients and you make us one when you come up?
Oh for sure! I'll make a big batch!
crazy, and nice pic by the way. That really does sound good.
Yummy! Yeah, I had to resort to Gerber baby foods (and yogurt and such) when Parker's canines were coming in because he would whine every time he bit into solid foods. So far, not too many problems with food with the 2-year molars... just sleep and major whining!
When did you staart giving ethan peanut butter? I was wondering when to give it to Jayson
I heard after 1 year everythings fair game. So started the peanut butter, honey, eggs, etc...then.
