Baby Raegan has arrived!!!

I've taken a blogging break...I'll be back. With the holidays and the arrival of our BABY GIRL I've been busy!! That's right... Baby Raegan arrived just in time for Christmas!! She was born December 19Th at 6:22 am. She weighed 8 lbs and 9 ounces and compared to my son her delivery was a breeze. The weeks up to it were tiring and long, but so worth it. She is here and she is the sweetest little thing. We're so in love!!! She's a good baby and we're enjoying being a family of four! Enjoy the cuteness!

Her brother adores her!

W/W My baby shower for baby girl!!

My sister threw me the perfect girlie baby shower for this baby girl on the way. The decorations were beautiful, I was surrounded by my favorite people, the food was yummy, and everyone spoiled me. I felt so loved. Thank You everyone who helped and made the day special! Here are some of my favorite pictures mostly of the decor.

Wine & Cheese party hosted by Smart & Final!!

Like most men my husband loves sports. A couple months ago Smart & Final gave us the opportunity to host a tail gating party at our house. We had a few friends over, watched the 49er game, and thanks to Smart & Final was able to serve up some perfect tail gating appetizers.

Once again Smart & Final gave us another opportunity to host a little shin dig at our house. This time we had a wine and cheese party and watched my husbands beloved San Francisco Giants make it to the World Series. What an exciting and fun night!

My husband is much more of a wine connoisseur then I am so when we were given a gift card to Smart & Final to buy the wine, cheese, and snacks he was excited to do some shopping. The first thing he noticed was the extremely good deals on wine. Some bottles were half the price then in other stores. NO JOKE!! We were so excited to stock up. Even though I'm preggo and cant indulge, he did pick up some of my favorites that I am now saving for the right time. We bought a mixture of reds, whites, and even my favorite champagne.
We don't get this opportunity often to buy our favorite wines and treat our friends so instead of buying a ton of cheap bottles, we bought some really nice ones. Smart & Final not only had excellent prices, but they had a great selection too. We got some yummy munchies that went well with wine. We served grapes, a cheese platter, cheese ball with wheat thins crackers, cookies, we made some turkey burgers, and finished off with coffee.

Before we teamed up with Smart & Final to host these parties we never shopped there before. Now we realize its the store to go to when entertaining!

Thank You Smart & Final for the opportunity. We are now fans and will be going there for entertaining for the holidays.

Disclosure: Smart & Final provided us with a gift card for the purpose of putting on a wine and cheese party. They also sent us with a nice gift pack with a cheese cutter, wine opening, disposable wine glasses, etc to make entertaining for our party even better.

W/W Halloween time at Disneyland!

If you've read my blog long enough you know that we are Disneyland season pass holders and go all the time! What a treat. The holidays are extra special at Disneyland especially during Halloween and Christmas. These pictures just don't do it justice. There is orange and pumpkins everywhere. They also have special trick or treat nights, which we haven't done yet. Thinking next year.
During the holidays they turn the Haunted Mansion into the Nightmare before Christmas. Its pretty amazing. This is EC taking a pic with Jack & Sally. He loves this movie right now.
Free face painting!
EC and Grandma in line for the Matterhorn. Our big boy is finally tall enough and he loves it!
Eating a pumpkin muffin... yummy!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE! I CANT WAIT TO SEE PICS OF EVERY ONES KIDS NEXT WEEK IN THEIR COSTUMES! SO FUN!!

Moon Dough Magic Barnyard Playset Review!

My son has always been a play-doh fan, and I secretly have a love/hate relationship with it. I love that it keeps him entertained, love that its great creative play, sparks his imagination and love that its affordable. But I HATE the mess it makes and the clean up. After big play sessions with play-doh I often find myself letting it dry out and vacuuming it up. And I hate how it sticks to the carpet. But then I always find myself buying more. Its a vicious cycle...ha.

When Team Mom sent us the Moon Dough Magic Barnyard Playset to review, I knew my son would love it, but did not know how much I would as well!! I've seen the Moon Dough in stores but this was our first time trying it and I'm so impressed!! I thought Moon Dough was like play-doh and oh boy was I wrong!

About Moon Dough:
  • Moon Dough (for ages 2-4) is an amazing new molding compound unlike anything you've seen before! Moon Dough is soft and marsh-mellow like, cleans up easily, and never dries out, so you can use it again and again. Its also hypo-allergenic and wheat-free.
  • There are a number of out-of this world Moon Dough play sets to choose from, including: Moon Dough Barnyard, Moon Dough Pizza Shop, Magic Moulding Doghouse and Moon Dough Burger Shop. Moon Dough Refill packs are also available.
  • Moon Dough comes in eight great colors: Blue, green, white, orange, purple, red, pink, and yellow.
  • Moon Dough is available at Toys "R" Us, Target, Walmart, Kmart, Amazon.com, A.C Moore, Michaels, and eToys.
  • For more information about Moon Dough, visit http://www.moondough.com
My thoughts:
I LOVE THIS STUFF!! No joke!!! It feels soo cool. It really never dries out, and the clean up is amazing! At first it looks like my son is making a huge mess, but I was so impressed. After you ball up the big pieces you can vacuum up the small bits. It doesn't stick to the carpet at all. I love how my 3 year old could easily figure out this toy and loves to play with it. Its so cute and i I love watching his little imagination while playing with this set. I actually plan on buying him more for Christmas!!

*Disclosure: Team Mom provided me with the Moon Dough Magic Barnyard Playset for the purpose to review. All opinions in this blog post are my own. I did not receive any money compensation. This review is strictly MY opinion. For more details, my disclosure policy is located at the bottom of my blog*

Our Tailgating Party at home with Smart & Final

My hubs is a HUGE 49er fan who is trying to instill this into his son. So when the 49er's are playing and on TV his goal is to make the game as exciting as possible so our little guy loves to watch it with him. Its pretty cute. For Monday night football the 49ers were playing so hubs put on all his Niner gear and for dinner, thanks to Smart & Final, I made the perfect football watching appetizers for us and a toddler. It was so fun!

I got the opportunity to do some shopping at Smart & Final and this is what I ended up bringing home for our football night. I tried to keep my toddler in mind and got fun finger foods, easy appetizers, along with some healthy options.

For my spread I made:

  • A fruit salad with the grapes, bananas, and nectarines. We dipped out fruit in yogurt.
  • Pigs in the blanket with yummy dips
  • Salami and cheese
  • Veggie platter with ranch
  • Mozzarella sticks with ranch and marinara sauce
  • Tri-tip slices
  • Sweet potato fries
  • Drinks-Soda and Apple juice. We are pretty stocked up on beer, but Smart & Final would of been the perfect place to buy more if needed it. The prices were great!

My thoughts:

This was actually my first time going to Smart & Final. For appetizers and bigger bulk items it was awesome! The prices were great and they had some different variety than normal grocery stores. Great place to go especially planning a party.

*Disclosure: I was provided with funds to purchase food at Smart & Final for the purpose of my review. All opinions in this blog post are my own. This review is strictly MY opinion. For more details, my disclosure policy is located at the bottom of my blog*

W/W No More Binky!!

This is EC and his last moments with his binky or as he called it his "babies." We finally did it! Is been almost two weeks BINKY FREE!!! Whoo-hoo... we're so proud of our big boy!!! We were dreading the day of taking away the binky imagining days and days of crying and begging and EC being sooo distraught. Boy, did he surprise us. NOT ONE TEAR!!!

The Story: I envisioned this special send off. We made an evening out of it. We bought 4 balloons to attach his binky too and wave good bye to it as it flys in the sky up to heaven to be with other babies, because he is a big boy now. So we get to the top of these cliffs over looking the ocean. I open the door and 3 out of the 4 balloons fly out of the truck. Hubs goes chasing them down. They were gone. What a bummer. We have one balloon left. It wasn't enough to float the binky so hubs takes out his tools and starts removing the extra plastic around the binky. We go to send it off on the one balloon and no kidding a guy comes running out of nowhere chasing after the balloon saying, "I got it!" He caught the balloon and returned it to us. We were like, "Thanks" giggling. Then EC hits the balloon all excited and pops it! NO MORE BALLOONS and still the binky. Long story short, hubs ended up throwing the popped balloon in the air and then chucking the binky into the field. EC seemed to not see it. We started cheering. So he got excited. So not what I pictured. Pretty funny!

He asked for it for about a week, but then we would explain what happened to it and that he is a big boy now and he totally excepted it. So proud of my big boy!!

Sid the Science Kid: GOTTA KNOW MICROPHONE Review!

We've had the opportunity to review a few Sid The Science Kid Products. We're big fans of Sid around here. I should say, EC has reviewed the Talking Sid the Science Kid, The Bug Club dvd and Change happens, and we are in the process of reviewing the "Weather Kid Sid" dvd.

Our newest Sid the Science Kid toy we received from the Jim Henson Company was the Sid the Science Kid Gottta Know Microphone from Hasbro, Inc.

Details about the GOTTA KNOW MICROPHONE:

"Just like the Sid the Science Kid characters on the animated television series, preschoolers can ask the big questions, tell jokes, and sing songs with the colorful GOTTA KNOW MICROPHONE! Easy to use push-button features let you play a round of applause after you've interviewed someone, hear the sounds of laughter or silly sounds when you've told a joke and even play the SID THE SCIENCE KID series theme song when you're ready to sing along! For extra fun, push the "echo mode" button and listen to your voice echo... echo.. echo... everywhere you go. (EC's favorite button!!)

SID THE SCIENCE KID, created for 3-6 year old children, is an animated television serious on PBS KIDS, starring Sid, a funny and inquisitive preschooler. The television show has received many awards. Developed to inspire a lifelong curiosity and love for learning, SID THE SCIENCE KID appeals to preschoolers' natural desire to figure out how things work, using humor and music as key teaching tools."

The GOTTA KNOW MICROPHONE is now available and retails for $14.99.

Our thoughts:
What fun!! This is a great toy to accompany the videos!!! EC immediately recognized it from watching the cartoons, and got a kick out of know the songs. His favorite function is the microphone button. Don't take my word for it... check out this hilarious video of EC going crazy playing with his Sid the Science kid GOTTA KNOW MICROPHONE! ENJOY!!
