As a Mom to a very creative toddler I'm always looking for new crafts to do with him. He loves craft time and I feel its so important. So I'm starting a meme called Project Monday. On Monday's I'm going to start sharing the craft of the week. I'll include the supply list, directions, and lots of cute pictures so you can do this craft with your little one!

Also, I set up the link option to play along. If you have craft projects to share please do! I'm always looking for new ideas. Grab the craft button, link up at the bottom, and get dirty with the kids. Its so much fun!

W/W 1st pumpkin patch of the season!

When we went up to Pismo a couple weekends ago not only did Easy get to ride a horse, we also visited one of my favorite pumpkin patches. It was pretty much a weekend to kick start Fall. It was the first weekend of cooler weather, bonfires, pumpkin pie, first fire in the fire place of the season, and visit to the pumpkin patch! Such festive fall family fun!!! OMG...check out Easy at this farm last year HERE! Such a little sweet guy!

We love this farm for many reasons:Because there's hay mazes for the kids.
Easy loves the petting zoo.
You take a tractor ride to the pumpkin patch.
Nana, Hubs, Opa, and Easy
Me, Hubs, and Easy
You can pick your own pumpkins right off the vines.
The boys picked apples and pears from the surrounding orchards. They loved it. My Mother-in-law and I were a little embarrassed. Pretty sure its not allowed. Hubs enjoying his apple in one hand and a pear in the other...
Easy even joined in.

For the month of October I'm going to feature crafts that will also be cute Halloween decorations around the house.

This weeks craft: Cotton ball ghosts.

One of my fellow bloggers did this craft idea (I don't remember who?) and I thought what a cute and perfect craft for Easy's age! I knew he'd be able to do this by himself. I tried to set aside my control issues on this craft and let him completely do his ghost the way he wanted and then I made one the way its suppose to look. I think he did a great job and his craft has much more character.

What you need:
  • Small clear plastic cups (the ones I used I think were to big.)
  • Glue.
  • Paper plate or bowl to put the glue in.
  • Cotton balls.
  • Wiggly eyes.
  • Paint or whatever stuff you already have to decorate your ghosts.
What to do:
  • Pour some glue on the paper plate/bowl.
  • Turn the plastic cup upside down.
  • Dip the cotton balls into the glue and then stick on the cups.
  • Glue on the wiggly eyes.

Easy making his ghost.

Easy's ghost and my ghost.

The Shandle Review & Giveaway (5 WINNERS!)

We are right in the middle of potty training and I was JUST thinking the other day how gross it is that the boy is always touching all over the potty to lift up the toilet seat. So when I got the opportunity to review the Shandle (toilet seat handle) I thought, "What a neat and functional idea!" Not only does it prevent "Easy" from touching the toilet seat, but its also a cute constant reminder to wash his hands! Love it! These even make great gifts! Here's what the website says about the Shandle:

What Does The Shandle Do?

The Shandle builds healthy hand washing habits by repeatedly reminding kids to wash their hands. In addition it provides a cleaner and easier way to lift and lower the toilet seat.

How Is The Shandle Installed?

The Shandle is attached to the toilet seat with a pressure sensitive foam adhesive. Once installed, the Shandle will provide 6 months of use. Installation is simple. Just position, peel and stick. For best results we suggest waiting 24 hours before use.

How Is The Shandle Removed?

The Shandle can easily be removed at any time. Simply apply firm downward pressure. Some slight residue may remain that can be reomved with hot soapy water.

The Shandle has a GREAT and very informative website. Please check it out for instructions, pictures, videos, testimonials, and to learn more about their product.

They sent us the "Pig washes her hands" Shandle. Cute!

W/W Pismo weekend day 1-Easy riding a horse.

This last weekend the Hubs had some work to do up in the central coast so we headed up to Pismo Beach for a few days. It was a jam packed few days and had so much fun! That Friday we went to a friends house/farm of Easy's Nana. They were so kind and let Easy check everything out and ride a horse! He loved it. Just like usual he got quiet, followed all the instructions, and was very serious soaking it all in!

My boys...man I sure ♥ them! Lately when I take pictures of them together Easy has been doing this new thing. He tells me to take the picture again and he grabs and hugs his daddy's neck and says "cheeeeese!" What a ham. We love this kid.
