K'Nex Sesame Street Neighboghood Collection Review

EC is such a true boy and LOVES building. I love seeing his mind work and watching his little imagination grow. When Team Mom sent us the Police Station from their K'Nex Sesame Street Neighborhood Collection to review I KNEW this toy was going to be a hit! Building blocks AND Elmo! Can't get any better in a toddler world!

K'Nex Sesame Street Neighborhood Collection consists of the Ice Cream Truck Building Set, Police Car Building Set, 1-2-3 Brownstone Building Set, and the Police Station Building Set (which is the set we received.) Children can build their own Sesame Street Neighborhood and then play with their favorite Sesame Street friends.

The recommended ages for K'Nex Sesame Street Collection is 2-5 years old. I love how the blocks are big and are very easy to put together! With my guy being on the younger side (2 1/2 years old) I did have to help him put his Police Station together. I also love how the Elmo and Police Officer Ernie are build-able. This made my little guy excited! This is a great toy that he will grow into that will inspire creativity. I know quite a few kids that would love this! What an AWESOME toy to give as a gift this holiday season!!!

You can purchase the K'Nex Sesame Street Neighborhood Collection at Target, Wal-Mart, and Toys "R" Us.

Want a chance to win $1,000 worth of K'Nex building Sets and be featured on the K'NEX.com web site? Enter their "Make a K'Nexion" Video Contest! All you have to do is make a video that showcases your child's K'Nex building skills and features your child building with select K'nex products. W/W Stuart Little Musical

We had the pleasure to take "Easy" to a Stuart Little Musical courtesy of OC Family! (Thanks so much for the tickets!) We've actually taken the boy to a few plays in his young years and he really enjoys them. Going to plays is also kind of something Grandma and Grandpa do with him often. So I knew he was going to love this show. He did! It was great! He wanted to meet Stuart after so of course Daddy made that happen. What a good Dad! Easy got to give him "high fives" and "rocks!" Afterwards we went out for some diner fatty foods and shakes. It was a fun night!!!

Hubs, Easy, Grandma right before the show.
Enjoying his shake at the diner.

PROJECT MONDAY-Turkey handprints and footprints

As a Mom to a very creative toddler I'm always looking for new crafts to do with him. He loves craft time and I feel its so important. So I'm starting a meme called Project Monday. On Monday's I'm going to start sharing the craft of the week. I'll include the supply list, directions, and lots of cute pictures so you can do this craft with your little one!

Also, I set up the link option to play along. If you have craft projects to share please do! I'm always looking for new ideas. Grab the craft button, link up at the bottom, and get dirty with the kids. Its so much fun!

<span class=

This cute turkey is made from your child's handprints and footprints, cut out of construction paper. It makes for a nice Thanksgiving decoration as well as an adorable keepsake! I love making crafts out of Easy's handprints and footprints to remember how small he was.

What you need:
  • Brown, red, orange and yellow construction paper
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Googly eyes (optional)
What to do:
  • Trace around your child's feet using brown construction paper. These two pieces will be the turkey's body.
  • Trace around your child's hands using red, orange, and yellow construction paper. These 6 pieces will be the turkey's feathers.
  • Glue the two footprints together to make the turkey's body. (The heels make the head area.)
  • Cut out a round wattle and a orange beak. Glue the wattle, beak, and googly eyes (or paper eyes) to the turkey's head. Make two legs from paper and glue them to the back of the body (or use pipe cleaners and tape them to the back).
  • Glue the handprint feathers to the back of the turkey.
Here is our finished product!

Ecostore USA Review & $25 gift card Giveaway!!!

As a Mom to a little one at home I'm concerned about the harsh chemicals in household cleaners and I am currently in the process of trying to switch my cleaners to more safe "green" options.

So I was excited when I recently got the opportunity to do a review for the EcoStore USA. No Nasty Chemicals™ is the foundation of the entire product line and philosophy of ecostore. I love this!!

I chose to review their Dishwasher Liquid . This dishwasher liquid is entirely plant based and biodegrades easily. It has a slight citrus smell and cleans very well! It's a bit thick so I add some water and it lasts along time!

I also chose their Citrus Spray Cleaner. This cleaner is citrus based. It smells so clean and refreshing without being overpowering. I use this spray for my kitchen counter tops everyday and love it!

What EcoStore USA says about their products: "Our eco friendly, plant-based household cleaning products are as effective as the leading supermarket brands. All of our products are made from plant- and mineral-based ingredients, free of toxic chemicals that bring people closer to nature with non-toxic, environmentally safe solutions that also help to reduce our carbon footprint. Our products also help to ensure value for the dollar for our customers. We know it can be expensive to buy natural or organic products but we’ve found a way to safely super-concentrate our formulations. Our super-concentrates means that a little really does go a long way - saving you money by cutting down significantly on cost per use."

Ecostore USA is giving one lucky reader a $25.00 gift card to their online store! You will be able to buy a few things for this price! To qualify for this giveaway all you have to do is sign up for Ecostore USA's No Nasty Chemicals newsletter and leave a comment on this post telling me you did so. ReliOn Temple Touch Thermometer Review & Giveaway!

Its that time of the year. With the fall weather comes the sniffles and the dreaded...duh duh duh... the flu! ACK! Although we've been lucky enough that Easy has yet to experience the flu in his whole almost 2 1/2 years of life, and has yet to throw up *knock on wood* We've still experienced sickness and fevers. No fun at all! One of the worst parts about fevers (besides the moping sick baby) is trying to take their temperature. Man what a pain. We unfortunately are getting over colds in our house right now and with the paranoia of the swine flu I was so happy to have the opportunity to review the ReliOn Temple Touch Thermometer. It came to my rescue just in time.

This thermometer is AWESOME! I'm seriously impressed. It was fast, easy, convenient, and non-invasive. We could take my toddler's temperature with out fighting and tears. You "simply touch the thermometer to your child's temple area and get a clinically accurate result in 6 seconds!" The best part... I can even take his temperature while he is sleeping. I'm a huge fan.

ReliOn Temple Touch Thermometer and MomSelect is giving one lucky reader a Thermometer just like this one. You're going to love it! All you have to do is leave a comment telling me why you would like this thermometer along with your email address to contact the winner. This is a must to be eligible for the contest.
