Hot Mama Gown Review!!

A few months ago I delivered my second baby. After the first experience I had a list of things I would do differently and the whole hospital gown situation was one of them. I was so uncomfortable in it. I already felt gross after delivery and the generic hospital gown didn't help. During my pregnancy I did a lot of window aka Internet shopping and was scoping out these adorable Hot Mamma Gowns for awhile. So I was so excited when the lovely people at Hot Mamma Gowns sent me the Grace Gown to review during my labor experience. One thing that stood out about the gown when I opened up the package was that it was cute! Not the ugly hospital material. It didn't feel like one either. Oh my... this gown was SOFT!

This is the Grace Gown they sent me. I was obviously in a daze the day after my birth so I didn't get any pictures of me wearing the gown (just a ton of pictures of my beautiful baby girl!) So this is a picture from The Hot Mama Gowns website of the gown I was sent.

These are an alternative to the generic hospital gown. I was disappointed that my hospital didn't let me where mine during the actual labor (which is not the norm I hear), but I did get to wear it during my post par tum stay. These gowns are designed for style, comfort and functionality!

The gown is designed to fit you before and after pregnancy. The ribbon-tied panels allow you to expand or reduce the gown and allows you access to your breasts individually. There are also hidden snaps along the inside of the top panels that ensure a secure fit during wear.

My thoughts:

LOVED IT! Even though I didn't get to wear this gown during my delivery I am so happy I had it for afterwards. As Momma's know, the nurses were constantly still examining you so wearing normal pj's was kinda a pain, but having my own cute and comfortable gown was so nice. My favorite feature by far was how easy it was to breastfeed in it discretely and comfortably. During my hospital stay there were lots of friends and family visiting and I loved that this gown has full coverage in the back. Lets face it, after giving birth I want to feel comfortable AND pretty and this gown did both! I highly recommend it for mommies to be. It would make a great gift!

Medela Breastmilk Labeling & Storage System Review and Giveaway!!

I've been on quite a blogging break with the holidays, being a SAHM to a toddler, and the birth of our now two month old baby girl. Saying I've been busy is an understatement. The Medela Breastmilk Labeling and Storage System is a tray that has in and out arrows along with well thought out bottle caps that allow you to adjust dates and times. The lids let you to select the day of the week as well as am, afternoon or pm. You put the bottles on the in arrow side and remove them from the out side. This will help you waste less milk! If you prefer to use the breast milk storage bags they will also fit in the tray.This is what I do. If you already own Medela bottles you can use the labeling lids with the ones you currently own (so cool!)

How it works: I'm always worried that my husband or family wont know which bag of frozen or fresh milk to start with. The tray that Medela designed has an "in" and "out" section so that you can just move the bottles around the ring from "in" to "out" as they get used and you put more in. This will always keep the oldest milk moving forward. What a neat idea! I have the habit of over explaining things to people when it comes to watching my baby so this helps a lot.

My thoughts: We actually don't use the medela bottles to feed baby girl so I like using the bags to store in the trays in the freezer. Even though I think the bottles with these lids are soo neat!! What a great idea and helpful tool for us nursing moms!! And what a great gift it would make! Add with Medela bags, bottles, maybe even a nursing cover? Cuuute! I'd love that that :)

Wine & Cheese party hosted by Smart & Final!!

Like most men my husband loves sports. A couple months ago Smart & Final gave us the opportunity to host a tail gating party at our house. We had a few friends over, watched the 49er game, and thanks to Smart & Final was able to serve up some perfect tail gating appetizers.

Once again Smart & Final gave us another opportunity to host a little shin dig at our house. This time we had a wine and cheese party and watched my husbands beloved San Francisco Giants make it to the World Series. What an exciting and fun night!

My husband is much more of a wine connoisseur then I am so when we were given a gift card to Smart & Final to buy the wine, cheese, and snacks he was excited to do some shopping. The first thing he noticed was the extremely good deals on wine. Some bottles were half the price then in other stores. NO JOKE!! We were so excited to stock up. Even though I'm preggo and cant indulge, he did pick up some of my favorites that I am now saving for the right time. We bought a mixture of reds, whites, and even my favorite champagne.

We don't get this opportunity often to buy our favorite wines and treat our friends so instead of buying a ton of cheap bottles, we bought some really nice ones. Smart & Final not only had excellent prices, but they had a great selection too. We got some yummy munchies that went well with wine. We served grapes, a cheese platter, cheese ball with wheat thins crackers, cookies, we made some turkey burgers, and finished off with coffee.

Before we teamed up with Smart & Final to host these parties we never shopped there before. Now we realize its the store to go to when entertaining!

Thank You Smart & Final for the opportunity. We are now fans and will be going there for entertaining for the holidays.

Moon Dough Magic Barnyard Playset Review!

My son has always been a play-doh fan, and I secretly have a love/hate relationship with it. I love that it keeps him entertained, love that its great creative play, sparks his imagination and love that its affordable. But I HATE the mess it makes and the clean up. After big play sessions with play-doh I often find myself letting it dry out and vacuuming it up. And I hate how it sticks to the carpet. But then I always find myself buying more. Its a vicious cycle...ha.

My thoughts:

I LOVE THIS STUFF!! No joke!!! It feels soo cool. It really never dries out, and the clean up is amazing! At first it looks like my son is making a huge mess, but I was so impressed. After you ball up the big pieces you can vacuum up the small bits. It doesn't stick to the carpet at all. I love how my 3 year old could easily figure out this toy and loves to play with it. Its so cute and i I love watching his little imagination while playing with this set. I actually plan on buying him more for Christmas!!

Our Tailgating Party at home with Smart & Final

My hubs is a HUGE 49er fan who is trying to instill this into his son. So when the 49er's are playing and on TV his goal is to make the game as exciting as possible so our little guy loves to watch it with him. Its pretty cute. For Monday night football the 49ers were playing so hubs put on all his Niner gear and for dinner, thanks to Smart & Final, I made the perfect football watching appetizers for us and a toddler. It was so fun!

I got the opportunity to do some shopping at Smart & Final and this is what I ended up bringing home for our football night. I tried to keep my toddler in mind and got fun finger foods, easy appetizers, along with some healthy options.

For my spread I made:

• A fruit salad with the grapes, bananas, and nectarines. We dipped out fruit in yogurt.
• Pigs in the blanket with yummy dips
• Salami and cheese
• Veggie platter with ranch
• Mozzarella sticks with ranch and marinara sauce
• Tri-tip slices
• Sweet potato fries
• Drinks-Soda and Apple juice. We are pretty stocked up on beer, but Smart & Final would of been the perfect place to buy more if needed it. The prices were great!

My thoughts:

This was actually my first time going to Smart & Final. For appetizers and bigger bulk items it was awesome! The prices were great and they had some different variety than normal grocery stores. Great place to go especially planning a party.

We've had the opportunity to review a few Sid The Science Kid Products. We're big fans of Sid around here. I should say, EC has reviewed the Talking Sid the Science Kid, The Bug Club dvd and Change happens, and we are in the process of reviewing the "Weather Kid Sid" dvd.

What fun!! This is a great toy to accompany the videos!!! EC immediately recognized it from watching the cartoons, and got a kick out of know the songs. The directions made claims about a quick and easy 3 step process. That was so accurate! The hubs installed it very quickly. It was simple to do and the only tool needed was one provided inside. The brushed nickel shower head made our bathroom look so much more modern. The design is beautiful. Also, being preggo and bathing a toddler I really love the ability to removed the spray handle from the base and the cord is plenty long. We decided to indulge and put this very cool shower head in our bathroom and now we plan on getting another one for the kids bathroom. The whole family loves it!!

One great thing about being a product reviewer is my toddler gets to try out so many new toys!!!! Thanks to Team Mom we received the new Pop on Pals Amusement Park. Obviously when I opened the box and this neat, bright, musical toy was presented to EC he was eager to break it open and give it a try. The age recommendation was 2-4 and EC is 3 so it was perfect for him. He figured it out this imaginative toy right away and didn't need my help at all and still enjoys it!!

Within the last couple of months we moved from a condo into a older house. With a house and yard came bugs! We noticed ants outside, spiders, etc. We first went to the store to buy stuff to help with the problem, but I felt very uncomfortable spraying around my toddler, my dog, and me being pregnant. Preggie Pops and Preggie Drops Review & Giveaway! (3 winners)

This pregnancy makes me nervous. I kind of knew something was up before I even took a test because I felt nauseous a couple days BEFORE I missed my period. For me, that's not normal so I started to get a hunch. The queasiness is slowly getting worst and I'm still pretty early. With having a toddler this time around, I cant sit on the couch and mope. I have to suck it up and do what ever I need to do to still give my little guy the most of me as possible. Glamourmom Nursing Tank Review & Giveaway!

Because this is not my first rodeo, I know that finding good nursing garments is near impossible. I nursed EC until he was about 13 months old and there was nothing more frustrating than trying to find shirts that are comfortable, cute, and easy to nurse in...Let alone supportive! I would definitely consider these tanks a Mommy-Momo Maternity Must Have!!! I plan on getting a few in different colors. They're a must have basic for not only every nursing moms wardrobe, but I'm also loving to wear it now. Its super comfortable to wear at the beginning stages of my pregnancy. They're thick enough so you can wear them by them selves in the warm summer months, or perfect for layering. With this next baby I'm going to love having this tank to wear under my sweaters and shirts. Because the built in bra is so supportive thats all I'll need to wear under! I love it!!

Cookbook REVIEW & GIVEAWAY!!!

My Aunt Pam has always been known as the entertainer of the family. She's an excellent cook and knows how to put on a spread! Within the last few years, her and my uncle down sized, sold their house, and now live full time in a motor home. They travel up and down the coast, doing what they love. The challenge of a smaller kitchen didn't stop her from cooking at all. I think it sparked her creativity even more. First she started a blog: From my motor home to yours. The thing I love about this cookbook is that all the recipes are very easy to understand and make. There are over 150 recipes and she breaks them up into different chapters.
